Birchbox : April

After my March Birchbox, I felt so spoiled. I loved all of my samples and was very pleased with the results.
So, my hopes were set extremely high for my April box.

  1.  Beauty Protector : Protect & Detangle  {Great for all hair types, this nourishing elixir perform seven hair-healing functions. Among them : locking in color, adding shine, and instantly detangling. Full-size $21.95} This product is GREAT! My mom received this in a previous box, so I got to try it beforehand, and I completely fell in love with it. After a few squirts, my hair is ready to be brushed out and styled! I would recommend this product–
  2.  Supergoop! : Daily Correct SPF 35 CC Cream {This next-generation CC cream provides corrective coverage and triple protects against UVA, UVB, and infrared-A rays. Full-size $32.} First off, I was slightly disappointed with the sample size. I tried this product for the first time this morning and it seems like it is a good product, I just don’t know if I will be able to get a good enough ‘review’ based off of the sample size. I hope that it does work, as I do need corrective coverage, but after only 2 uses, will you really be able to tell? Maybe I can get a few more uses to determine!
  3.  LAFACE Laboratories : BEAUX YEUX Beautiful Eyes Concentrate Intensive {A hefty dose of hyaluronic acid amps up moisture levels, while an advanced peptide complex halts wrinkle formation. Full-size $160.} This must be a joke. No, I have not tried the product, but based off of the sample size I have already made my decision. If a product cost $160, I would personally think that you would give a ‘bigger sample’ so prospective buyers could fall in love with the product. Rather than only getting a 1 time use. Also, I wouldn’t spend $160 on this so…for me…this is a no-go.
  4.  Caudalie : Devine Oil {Made with a blend of grape, argan, hibiscus, and sesame oils, this multitasking wonder gives skin, hair, and nails a gorgeous glow. Full-size $9-$49.} I just opened my sample of this an it smells great! So, I am anxious to try this product. I have never been a fan of oils due to the ‘reside-sticky feeling’ it leaves on your skin, yet this doesn’t seem to be that way!
  5. Lifestyle Extra : Hail Merry : Chocolate Macaroons {It tastes too good to be true : These decadent treats are raw, vegan, gluten-free, and made with only natural, non-GMO ingredients. Full-size $5.} I have not tried these, but I am sure they are delicious!

Another addition to the box is a year of Women’s Health subscription for free. This excites me, however I could see that others wouldn’t get excited about this. I’m wondering how this box relates to Fitness, but I suppose that’s my own personal opinion. Overall, this was a good box. Not my favorite, but good.

What did you receive in your box?

{If you got the nail polish, I want to hear your thoughts! I am jealous I didn’t receive it, as it looks very interesting!}

2 Girls in Cowboy Boots

boots

There is something about being Southern and owning a pair of Cowboy boots.

They go hand-in-hand.

Perhaps It’s because a lot (NOT all) of folks in the South listen to County music.

Lauryn Pumpkin and I (as well as the rest of my family) are going to see Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean & Jake Owen tonight @ Sanford Stadium.

Ekkk. I am beyond excited.

To say the least—

I hope you all enjoy a nice cold bev, listen to some Country music or whatever you perfer, and have a fantastic weekend!

Help In the Garden?!

Since the weather is so unbelievably nice, I can’t help but spend all of my time outside!

Today, I had a few more things to plant in my garden that I bought on Sunday, and I noticed that Jen’s was willing to be my ‘co-green-thumb’…So, I ran inside to get my phone and came back out and noticed that my ‘co-green-thumb’ had decided this was her way to help…

Sitting in the garden while watching ME do all of the work.

How sweet of her–

Well, I better get back to finishing my planting while Jen’s is watching over me.

Maybe she is taking lessons to one day help? One can only dream….

Manicure Monday

With this absolutely beautiful weather, I couldn’t help but continue with my spring colors!

Hopefully this warm weather will stay around for a while, as I am over the cold weather.

Sunshine and pretty colors can make anyone happy, so I hope this color makes you as happy as it does me!

Awaiting the Arrival of Lemons & Limes

To me–there is nothing like eating something that is ‘homegrown‘.

I’m an avid ‘gardner’ with a precious gardening shed. (I’d have to say so myself.) I choose to believe that I was born with a green thumb, but maybe it has just developed over the years.

Ehhh, Who knows. But, what I do know is I love veggies and herbs that I have grown in my garden.

So, while I was visiting Hilton Head I couldn’t help but stop by a local nursery and check it out. I immediately found lemon and lime trees. Ahhhh. Yes, Ahhhh. What could possibly be better than a homegrown lemon or lime to add to a yummy beverage?

Of course, I had to purchase one of each, so now I’m checking my trees daily to see if anything exciting is happening.  TODAY I found something growing on my lemon tree. Yes, that would be a baby lemon.

{Squealing is appropriate for this occasion.}

{I’m seeing lemons, many lemons, in the near maybe far future.}
