Birchbox : April

After my March Birchbox, I felt so spoiled. I loved all of my samples and was very pleased with the results.
So, my hopes were set extremely high for my April box.

  1.  Beauty Protector : Protect & Detangle  {Great for all hair types, this nourishing elixir perform seven hair-healing functions. Among them : locking in color, adding shine, and instantly detangling. Full-size $21.95} This product is GREAT! My mom received this in a previous box, so I got to try it beforehand, and I completely fell in love with it. After a few squirts, my hair is ready to be brushed out and styled! I would recommend this product–
  2.  Supergoop! : Daily Correct SPF 35 CC Cream {This next-generation CC cream provides corrective coverage and triple protects against UVA, UVB, and infrared-A rays. Full-size $32.} First off, I was slightly disappointed with the sample size. I tried this product for the first time this morning and it seems like it is a good product, I just don’t know if I will be able to get a good enough ‘review’ based off of the sample size. I hope that it does work, as I do need corrective coverage, but after only 2 uses, will you really be able to tell? Maybe I can get a few more uses to determine!
  3.  LAFACE Laboratories : BEAUX YEUX Beautiful Eyes Concentrate Intensive {A hefty dose of hyaluronic acid amps up moisture levels, while an advanced peptide complex halts wrinkle formation. Full-size $160.} This must be a joke. No, I have not tried the product, but based off of the sample size I have already made my decision. If a product cost $160, I would personally think that you would give a ‘bigger sample’ so prospective buyers could fall in love with the product. Rather than only getting a 1 time use. Also, I wouldn’t spend $160 on this so…for me…this is a no-go.
  4.  Caudalie : Devine Oil {Made with a blend of grape, argan, hibiscus, and sesame oils, this multitasking wonder gives skin, hair, and nails a gorgeous glow. Full-size $9-$49.} I just opened my sample of this an it smells great! So, I am anxious to try this product. I have never been a fan of oils due to the ‘reside-sticky feeling’ it leaves on your skin, yet this doesn’t seem to be that way!
  5. Lifestyle Extra : Hail Merry : Chocolate Macaroons {It tastes too good to be true : These decadent treats are raw, vegan, gluten-free, and made with only natural, non-GMO ingredients. Full-size $5.} I have not tried these, but I am sure they are delicious!

Another addition to the box is a year of Women’s Health subscription for free. This excites me, however I could see that others wouldn’t get excited about this. I’m wondering how this box relates to Fitness, but I suppose that’s my own personal opinion. Overall, this was a good box. Not my favorite, but good.

What did you receive in your box?

{If you got the nail polish, I want to hear your thoughts! I am jealous I didn’t receive it, as it looks very interesting!}

This weekend my dear sweet friend got married to the man of her dreams, so I just wanted to share a few pictures with you because I’m so obsessed. Literally.

The wedding was absolutely breathtaking, and Emily, the Barbie bride was stunning–

Love @ First Bark…Maybe?

Ok, for those of you that are new….I have a dog, Jenny (Jen’s) and Lauryn Pumpkin has a dog named Brody (Brod’s).

Secretly, well maybe not the secret part…but we are trying to make Jen’s and Brod’s love each other.

Crazy? Yes, we know.

But, we want a dog wedding.

Yep, I said it. Dog wedding.

We have already told people our families and we plan on sending out invitations. Real Ones.

This is no joke.

However, there is ONE huge problem.

Jen’s is scared of Brody. SCARED. SCARED. SCARED.

He barks and growls at her. Maybe that’s his way of showing affection? I’m not sure…But, Jen thinks he needs to find a new way because she is not having it.

So, I’ve decided since warm weather is coming up (HOPEFULLY), we need to start planning this shindig. Which means….Brod’s is going to have to change his ways. Lauryn Pumpkin has been talking to him about his actions. Maybe they will corporate.

First, we sent a picture to hopefully help…and then you will see what we got in return.

Jen’s : Brody, Woof you be mine?   Yes or No

Brod’s : Jen’s, I’m sorry for barking at you. I get nervous around pretty girls. Of course, I’ll be yours.

Maybe the next play-date will be better?

I know we are crazy…But, who doesn’t love their dog? And who doesn’t want a precious dog wedding? Ahhh!

Perfect excuse to enjoy some wine, perhaps! I’d say so myself.

Birchbox : March

Yes, I couldn’t resist to go ahead and give you a {Sneak Peak} of my Birchbox because I’m absolutely obsessed.

Did I say obsessed?

I mean my most favorite box I have received in the 4 months I’ve gotten the ‘infamous PINK box’ in the mail.

Ok, now I must tell you why it is so FABULOUS.

Madewell for Birchbox : Emery Board

      Full-size : $5

Caldrea : Body Lotion

Tea Olive Lime, Aloe Water Apricot, and Coconut Fig

A&L : Tissue Paper Flowers

This weekend, my sister-in-law (Ashley) came up for some fun-filled CRAFT time!
For those of you who don’t know me, I am an extreme lover of all things CRAFT.
I love to craft and I have the most wonderful craft room. One day it will be completely organized, and it will be even better!
Ok, so Ashley is hosting a baby shower. Which, thankfully it’s for a girl, because I do much better with PINK than blue…But, one day i’m sure that will change. Until then…All things PINK.
When Ashley first started planning for this, I couldn’t help myself but get on Pinterest and share my favorite ideas with her. One being ’tissue paper flowers’.
Ahhh. Have you seen them?
Easy and beautiful all in one. Could it possibly get any better?
I think not.
So, I’m going to let you in on our ‘craft time’ and enjoy making ’tissue paper flowers’ with us!

First, you must get your supplies:

  • Scissors
  • String
  • Tissue Paper (Assorted Colors) {I’m going to let you in a little secret that we learned…the regular tissue paper works so much better than the wax kind. So, you’re welcome.}

Then we start the flower-making process:

  1. Gather 8 sheets of tissue paper and stack them on top of each other.
  2. Cut the sheets in half. (If you want to make a smaller one, cut in half again, and even smaller…cut in half again)
  3. Start folding the paper aprox an inch thick. (Like you are making a fan)
  4. Fold the ‘fan’ in half.
  5. Tie a string around the middle of the ‘fan’.
  6. Cut the ends to whichever design you prefer. We did a few scallops as well as triangles. Both are cute!
  7. Lay your ‘fan’ down flat and start pulling apart the layers.
  8. Once you have pulled apart all of the layers, you will have a finished product of a beautifully homemade tissue flower!

We decided to make three different sizes, so not all of them would be the exact same. The little ones turned out to be our favorites!

Birchbox : December & January

I’ve had a few request to see what I got in my previous month’s BIRCHBOX (for those who are thinking about possibly ordering it for themselves), so I have decided to do a quick post on them with just a few pictures.

My December box was the first one I had ever gotten, so to say I got excited when I saw it in my mailbox is a complete understatement. I was beyond ecstatic to see what I got!

My Second Box…

For those of you who sent me a message about my boxes, I hope this helps!

Manicure Monday

Today I was hoping for some beautiful weather like yesterday so I could be in the spirit to paint my nails for Spring.
However, that didn’t to much work…It’s not raining, but it is very overcast and cold.

I got out all of my pink polish because what better color to choose from…and I finally decided to go with a light pink that has a bit of a shimmer to it.

Polish :

CQ: Pink Folie

Essie: Good To Go [Quick Dry]

Hope you all are having a very ‘Mani’ Monday!
